Quick Tip: Introducing Your Speakers

What: The next time you introduce your speaker, or special guest, prepare a handout with the following questions on it,
and have your speaker respond to the every question. Then use the responses (plus any formally prepare material) to introduce your speaker.

Why: Your audience will feel like the speaker is approachable,there may be interesting facts your audience can relate to, your speaker will be viewed as a real human, and the pressure is off for you to do a polished introduction.

What is your maiden name?
Where were you born?
What is your husband's name?
What are your children's names and ages?
What is your most embarrassing moment?
What do you do to relax?
What did people say about you in high school?
What confuses you?
What was your mother's best advice?
What's your favorite color?
What do you like to snack on?
What is your favorite bible verse?
If you attended, what did you major in, in college?
Use three words to describe yourself?
When is your birthday?
Where do you hope to be in five years?

This tip was adapted from introductions done
at a recent event at Raytown Baptist Church,
Kansas City, MO.
