1. FROM THE PUBLISHERS
Hello friends. We're still catching up from a busy
schedule at home, and on the road. Phil, and our staff
continue to make changes to the WomensMinistry.Net
web site. By next week you'll be able to search the
wmEventCalendar by speaker and state. Soon after
that, we will have the much awaited People Directory
online. You'll be able to find contact information
for speakers and musicians across the country.
I hope to meet some of you this weekend at the
St. Andrews by-the-Sea Women's Conference held
in Destin FL. I'll be speaking on the themes of
Walking by Faith, and Keeping Your Shoes On. God
richest blessings to you.

2. wmTIP: ESTABLISHING LEADERSHIP

DEVELOPING SOLID LEADERS FOR YOUR
WOMEN'S MINISTRY
In order to have a Women's Ministry that will be strong
and effective, leadership must be established.  This means
taking an active part in encouraging and nurturing your
women through strategies and programs.

Five ideas for developing strong leadership

1. Involve your women.  Begin by simply asking women to
be involved.  When possible, explain in advance what will
be expected from them, and keep in mind that some mothers
and working women may find it challenging to take on
large jobs.  Encourage women to discover their spiritual
gifts, and help them get placed in that specific area of service.

2. Inspire your women.  Help the women see and understand
the vision for what can and should take place through ministry.
Look for specific needs in your church and in your community
that could me met.  Promote any ideas with enthusiasm and be
open for suggestions.  Appreciate your women.  Let them know
their hard work is valuable.   Most importantly, continue to pray
for the vision, and encourage the whole church to join you in
prayer as you seek God's will for His ministry.

3.Instruct your women.  Remember that leaders need to be
learners too.  It is easy to assume that leaders are learning as
they are studying, but this should not substitute for deeper
instruction gained from worship attendance and other learning
opportunities.  It is crucial to model God's truth in your own life.
Be an example in not only the words you say but the life you
live.

4. Instill passion and commitment in your women.  Pass on a
passion and commitment for God and his work by teaching them
biblical values through meditation on God's word.  Help them to
view themselves as a team or a single body of Christ.  This will
provide comfort and strength as they share the pressures and
enjoy the pleasures of ministry.  Finally, instill in them
the importance of passing on the leadership by encouraging and
helping them train future leaders.

5.Intercede for your women.  The most important step you can
take to develop strong leaders is intercede for them in prayer.
Actively intercede for the women in your church, and teach them
to pray for each other and the ministry.

3. wmLIBRARY
Two great resources for your women's ministry
library. Check them out at www.lifeway.com.

Whispers of Hope
Designed to help women develop a consistent,
daily habit of prayer, Whispers of Hope includes
70 daily meditations, each containing a brief
Bible reading, Scripture, and thought for the day.
Daily meditations cover a broad range of topics
from marriage to money and from adoration to
depression. Following each day's reading you'll
find journaling pages for recording your prayer petitions.
This distinctly different clothbound book has a
quality look with striking photographs and a separate
section for group study plans. It is ideal for personal
study, group study, and for gift giving.

Living Beyond Yourself
In Living Beyond Yourself, noted Bible teacher, writer,
and conference speaker Beth Moore leads an in-depth
study of the Fruit of the Spirit.
Living Beyond Yourself begins with an overview of the
book of Galatians and a study of the person and fullness
of the Holy Spirit, then carefully and scripturally examines
the nine character traits of the Spirit's love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and
self-control.
The ultimate evidence of the Spirit-filled life appears in
the title of this study. Beth wants to lead you to live beyond
yourself.  This in-depth, 11-session print study includes
a leader's guide.
