Icebreaker: Shop Owner
Objective: Getting to know each other by sharing interests, hobbies and what motivates us Materials Needed: none! Procedure: Pose this simple question to your group: If you could own any kind of store anywhere in the the world, what kind of store would it be, and where would it be located? Allow a couple of minutes for group members to gather their thoughts. Then it's sharing time! Each person should share their response. The fun of this activity is in discovering the surprising answers you will receive. You will gain great insight into what makes the women in your group tick by encouraging them to dream out loud. Leslie Kuechenmeister serves as Associate Teacher Director for Community Bible Study in St. Paul, Minnesota. WM Note: This could be a great way to start off a study on Joseph, the dreamer. Or it could be used to illustrate a number of spiritual truths: our desires vs. God's, adventure, setting goals, etc.
