WM Team Builder: Fruit of the Spirit

This terrific team builder is based on Galatians 5:22-23.

Objectives:

Finding out more about the women in a group or team

Materials:

drawing paper, markers, colored paper, other craft materials

Procedure:

This works well with a new planning team, for a conference or retreat planning team who are just beginning to get to know each other. Ask each lady to think of a piece of fruit that describes her personality the best. Then have each one draw the fruit, or create something to represent the fruit and ask them to share how this fruit relates to their personality. Ask them to think carefully about it and use it as an opportunity to share about themselves with the group.

(Ex: Grapes best describes me. I love groups but I can be picked out of the bunch to be alone. I can lead and I don't mind being a follower. I love working with people. I will speak my opinion and I some times do not take criticism well, but I am learning not to wear my feelings on my sleeve.)

This is a great opportunity for women to share in a fun and interesting way.

After everyone has told about their "fruit-style," remind them how the fruit in our lives is powered by the Holy Spirit and that God's desire is for the team to work together toward a common goal. Then review the purpose for the team to work together (retreat, leadership, etc.) and spend some time in prayer.
