Karen True has been a follower of Jesus since she was a girl. But it was the serendipitous purchase of a half price study Bible soon after her college graduation that awakened her faith. Long hours and late nights spent poring over and pondering the Scriptures she'd heard, memorized and sung all her life, yielded a deeper and more profound relationship with the Lord she had come to love.

In recent years, Karen has served as Women's Minister at Second Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri where she's had the opportunity to train leaders, teach Scripture, and reach out to a world in need by facilitating ministry to women who seek shelter from domestic violence and in leading mission trips and providing training for pastors and their wives in Nicaragua. She has also worked with author and speaker, Jennifer Rothschild, on a number of books and Bible studies. Karen is married to Gerry who is Minister of Communications and Technology at Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas, and they have two children, Madeleine and Mason.
