Icebreaker: Dream Job

Objective: To open doors of conversation and to learn about each person's passions, desires, interests and dreams.  This would be especially appropriate to open a Bible study on gifts, passions, service, God's will, etc.

Materials: Slips of paper, pencils, bowl for drawing slips

Procedure: Have each of the ladies write their dream occupation on a slip of paper. Tell them to write down what they would do if money, education, life circumstances, etc. were not an obstacle. Drop the papers into a hat, basket, etc.  Ask each woman to draw out one of the papers. Play charades to guess the "occupation."  Then try to guess who wrote it down.

In our group, it was very interesting to learn that someone would like to be an actress, dancer, evangelistic speaker, homemaker, queen, nurse, etc. It was also fun to learn that some of the ladies were actually living their dream in one way or another.
