Event: Beautiful Builder
Build your next event around the Bible's famous builder, Nehemiah. He rebuilt Jerusalem's broken down walls more with faith and tenacity than with stone and mortar. His story provides a creative twist for your women's ministry event. Decorations: We decorated with pink hard hats and tools. Pink work gloves. (For an inexpensive take on the gloves, simply dye plain canvas gardening gloves...so fun!) We also wenat all out and built a 20 ft. stone wall, and all of the women wrote their favorite Scriptures on the wall. The wall can be cardboard or plywood and is easily painted. See if you can enlist a theater person or handyman husband who can build this prop for you. Ours turned out so amazing that we plan to bring it back to our church for all to see. Description: This was our ladies night out. A fun time to build relationships and learn together.
We signed & sealed our own covenant with God. This was an especially meaningful time. WM Note: We think this would be a great theme for a leadership retreat since the focus is on building, and we are about building ministries that help rebuilding lives. Tools, toolboxes, sawhorses and construction tape would make great additions to the decorations. Most of these things could be borrowed to save on cost. Thanks for the great ideas!
