WM Team Builder: Fruit of the Spirit

Printer-Friendly Format

This terrific team builder is based on Galatians 5:22-23 and the idea that we are all a little fruity!

Objectives:

The goal is to learn more about the women in a group or team. This works well for any team or group that is just getting to know each other.

Materials:

drawing paper, markers, colored paper, other craft materials

Procedure:

Ask each woman to choose of a piece of fruit that best represents her personality. Then have each person draw the fruit she chose (or create something to represent the fruit). Ask them to share how this fruit relates to their personality. Remind them to think carefully about their choice and use it as an opportunity to share about themselves with the group.

For example, grapes best describe me. I love groups but I can be picked out of the bunch to be alone. I can lead and I don't mind being a follower. I love working with people. I will speak my opinion and I some times do not take criticism well, but I am learning not to wear my feelings on my sleeve!

This is a fun and interesting way for women to share about themselves.

After everyone has told about their "fruit-style," remind them how the fruit in our lives is powered by the Holy Spirit and that God's desire is for the team to work together toward a common goal. Then review the purpose for the team to work together (retreat, leadership, etc.) and spend some time in prayer.
