Events offer women an opportunity to connect and to grow. We can make the most of the moment by giving women a place to pause, reflect and pray. Hosting a prayer room at your next event makes a priority of prayer and adds significance to the brief moments during which you have their attention. 

• Make room. Choose a room that is both quiet and accessible.
  
• Make it welcoming. Provide a journal at the entrance where women can list requests. Playing quiet instrumental music will soften background noise.
  
• Make it comfortable. Arrange seating so women can pray alone or in small groups. The room doesn't need a lot of decoration, but adding candles or other simple touches creates a nice atmostphere.
  
• Focus on Scripture. Choose a theme for the prayer room. You might choose something like passages from the Psalms, the names of God or other Scriptures that relate to the theme of your event.
  
• Pray in advance. Ask members of your planning team to pray one of these Scriptures over each woman who will attend. If you have attendees' names in advance, pray for them by name and then display each name along with the Scipture(s) that have been prayed for them.
• Invite women to come. Make frequent mention of the prayer room during the event. Encourage women to visit the room, share their requests, pray and to find their name and the Scripture that has been prayed over them.
  
• Pray some more. Visit the room during the event yourself. Pray for the women and with them. Follow up on any special requests as necessary.
