TeleForum Facilitator Barb Connor, Vice
President of Coaching Dynamics, Salt Lake City, Utah, is a Professional Coach who loves
the Lord and wants to live according to His purpose for her life. To that end, she clearly
states that her purpose is: "To use my God-given talents to help others excel." On
a personal note, Barb's born again relationship with the Lord began at age eleven when she
accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. She is currently a member of a Bible-based
church in Salt Lake City, having lived in a number of states before settling in Utah with
her husband, Winston (who is also a professional coach, as well as a Christian), in 1989.
Barb has also been participant, as well as a leader, of Bible Study Fellowship for a
number of years.
Her activities include having served on the Board of Christian Marriage Seminars. As a
Christian coach, Barb focuses on creative accountability toward assisting her clients in
reaching their goals. After all, God is our Creator, so it only follows that "in His
image," we are to be creative individuals. Right? Barb's clients include individuals
who want to take their professional and/or personal goals to the next level. Coaching is
tailored to the client's needs/wants/desires in order to help them reach their God-given
potential. Sometimes that involves getting rid of tolerations and blocks in our lives that
we allow to keep us from being all God intended for us to be.
Barb is certified in assessments that add extra insight into behaviors, as well as
motivators. When we are in touch with how others see us and what is most important to us,
it automatically opens the door to discovery that can take us to where we want to be.
Though coaching is typically done on the telephone, Barb is quick to tell you it is all
about a relationship. And, that a Christian coach is one who is ready to walk beside you,
pray with you, support you when you need it or want that support, and encourage you to
take your expectations and aspirations to a higher level. The coaching relationship is one
that causes you to "push the envelope."
