To know that my obedience to the Lord is leading others to be free in Christ is so rewarding.
LaKieva Meadows leads an organization that has a mission to promote a healthy self-esteem within girls and women, from all walks of life. Initially, she didn’t realize it was a call from the Lord to lead, but just felt a need to encourage women to trust God to sustain them through the everyday trials of life. In 2009 she hosted a luncheon for 20 women and has now served over 800 women through this ministry. They have also gone to domestic violence shelters for women and children to encourage them and provide them with hygiene products. The last eight years have been a whirlwind of God’s goodness, starting out as a simple meeting, and developing into an organization that has traveled to Texas and is now taking a form to minister in Chicago.
I personally believe in a servant leadership style. I will never ask anyone to do anything that I am not willing to do.
At the end of the day in every meeting that is held, and every event that is hosted, my prayer is always that someone feels loved and inspired to go forward in life.
